Do you want something different? Gemma Luxton has that special “something”, getting the crowd pumping with her own style of country rock. Not only does Gemma have an amazing voice, she sure knows how to entertain a crowd! In 2003 Gemma moved from Perth, Western Australia to Australia’s Country Music Capital - Tamworth to be closer to the heart of Country Music and has since gone wherever her music has taken her, and in just a very short time the sky has been the limit for this bubbly pocket rocket. Gemma credits her highly entertaining performance style to wanting to make the audience feel like she has invited them into her living room, that every audience member is her mate and she’s a part of the crowd, having fun with her mates. As stated in Capital News in September 2009 Gemma Luxton is “guaranteed to grab the listener by the collar and have them up and dancing”. It is from this aspect of Gemma’s performance that the title of her new album came, launched to a crowd of thousands at the National Country Music Muster 2009. “Part of The Crowd” is Gemma Luxton’s debut album, where her two Top 30 hits “Party” and “Girls World”, as well as a string of other soon to be hits, can be found. With credits to her name like recent Top 20 artist on the Country Music Channel and various radio stations, traveling around Australia on the Brian Young “Youngie” Tour, Toyota Star Maker Finalist, CMAA College of Country Music Graduate, TIARA nominations for Best Female Vocal, Winner of the Australian National Songwriters Competition, as well as supporting various well known artists, this girl’s resume’ is dressed to impress.
