Jamie Flegerbein

BIO:

    Jamie was born and raised in the small North West NSW town of Warialda, He has lived in the tight knit community most of his life. In his mid teens he self taught himself the basics of piano and guitar and sung with school bands which led him to audition successfully and gain entry into the "Newtown High School of the Performing Arts" in Sydney to complete year 12 in 1993. There he was surrounded by fellow students who were involved in music, Theatre, film & television.

Since those days besides being a family man Jamie has gone solo and has played over most of NSW and Southern QLD. Jamie has been successful in a few talent quests including being picked in the top 5 best male vocalist in the CCMA talent quest in Tamworth. He released his debut single "Dream It For A While" in 1998 which featured on the 'LBS Country Collection Vol. 6'

     Jamie has been involved with various charity events over the years including the 'Go Bush ' shows where Jamie added some musical flavour in between the bush poetry comedy acts, one of which being 'Buck You Barstard Buck', Murray Hartin. One of the highlights of Jamie's musical career so far would be when he was the support act for 'The Wolverines' at a local 'Centenary of Rugby League''cellebration hosted by Grant Goldman in 2008. Also in 2008 Jamie released an E.P. called 'Gwydir Good Life' containing four self penned tracks. The title track was used by the Gwydir Shire Council in a series of TV commercials for a tourism campaign. 'Gwydir Good Life ' has had national radio airplay and is a popular request at his shows.

     Jamie is well prepared to play at most types of functions, events and venues with his new JBL PRX PA System which amplifies great accoustic sound for a seated audience or can utilise more than 2000 watts for some real party power. Jamie's main musical influences include Garth Brooks, Brad Paisley, Troy Cassar Daily, Big N' Rich & Alan Jackson. His repertoire consists of a strong country rock flavour but will play most popular hits from the 60's till now plus a few of his own. Jamie can also incorperate Karaoke into his show (featuring almost 20,000 Karaoke tracks) if prior notice is given.

     Jamie takes pride in giving people a good (musical) time, whether he and the audience are seated doing accoustic songs or when the volume goes up and the crowd is on their feet dancing all night long. Come and enjoy a good night out with Jamie Flegerbein.
